In this year, big business is being urged to come together in a bid to make Lancashire a driving force in the region’s economy. Preston is city in Lancashire, some local businesses are being urged to work together and get behind proposals for a Business Improvement District (BID) in the city centre. This Business Improvement District want improve the city centre as a vibrant place where to shop, to live work, and visit.
The University of Central Lancashire (uclan) is one of the biggest landowners and businesses in Preston have said they will agree this business plan. A spokesman said: “The universities support the business Improvement District and see this as a major step forward in enhancing the vibrant city centre environment.”
